What do we do first?
The first step in planning a ceremony in TCC is to contact the Minister. The date and time for your ceremony should be cleared with the church well in advance. Call the church to see if this day is free and to reserve the church before any public announcement is made. Some couples prefer a setting other than the church facilities – in any case, contacting the Minister is the first step. There will be several meetings leading up to the wedding ceremony. The purpose of these meetings is so that our Minister can get to know you further as a couple, to provide pre-marital care and help you plan the wedding ceremony.
What if neither of us is a member of this church?
We do not require church membership or baptism for couples. The congregation and Minister are happy to help you plan for this important occasion.
What are the fees?
If neither bride nor groom is a member of this church, there is a non-refundable fee of $300 for a wedding held in the church facilities, payable with application. There are additional fees for the Minister, the organist, and the custodian and should be paid at the rehearsal.
Can I bring another minister?
Our Minister will be available to work with you in making your wedding plans. Clergy from outside our church may assist in the service, at the discretion of the TCC Minister. The formal pronouncement of the marriage and the signing of the legal license shall be done by the TCC Minister.
